About
Peoples Art Collective Tasmania Inc. (PACT) invites you to join us on an exciting journey towards bringing a regional Burn event to Tasmania, Sparkadia is our first collective step.
On 25–28th April, 2024 we will gather to lay the foundations for this journey together. Sparkadia is not just a gathering; it's a celebration of community, art, and the untamed spark within each of us. Guided by 11 principles, we will play, celebrate community, and set the groundwork for a full Burn event in 2025.
Sparkadia is your call to action, urging participants to let their inner spark ignite positive change in our community. Together, we can transform ideas into reality, dreams into projects, and aspirations into achievements. This gathering will be shaped by all who attend. Whether you want to contribute to creating a sound stage, showcase your art, curate an interactive experience, cut some hair, give a foot rub, or simply make new friends and learn, all are welcome to collaborate in creating magic and fostering connection and community.
Please fill out this Expression of Interest (EOI) form if you have an idea you would like to bring, make or do, or if you would like to help volunteer.
We will gather at a spacious site located an hour north of Hobart. There is plenty of space for camping. Carpooling is encouraged to reduce individual travel impact.
Embody the principle of Radical Self Reliance, you will need to bring everything you need to survive and thrive while you’re on site (shelter, food, water and fun). There will be no shops or food vendors, or anything for sale. Sturdy footwear and warm Tassie outdoor wear is a good idea to make the most of the site.
An easy way to help support the event is to buy your ticket early, so we can know how many people are coming and cater to that.
